To demonstrate this ideal, let's start with every other Friday off! We work what's called a 9/80 work-week. This means that we will work 9 hours Monday -Thursday, then 8 hours on one Friday, and the other Friday we are off. In the end its still 40 hours per week, but working this schedule will allow you to have more concentrated time with family and friends.


We also offer 3 weeks a year of PTO (Personal Time Off) and a holiday shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day. And that's in addition to every other Friday off and the standard holidays. When you add it all up, that's over 2.5 months off =per year= that you are away from work.

All positions are full time, on-site in Southern California. We are located in Camarillo, California; a thriving community of over 66,000 in the heart of Ventura County.

GAME SOFTWARE ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create clean, efficient, and well tested code
  • Create technical specifications for presentation/gameplay systems that meet the requirements of the design and art teams and implement them
  • Flesh out, expand and implement game designs
  • Analyze, organize and optimize code

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • At least 1 published title
  • Strong math and graphics background
  • Expertise in C and C++ programming languages
  • Ability and drive to contribute and advance all aspects of a game
  • Console programming experience
  • Understanding of procedural, object oriented, and multi-threaded programming techniques

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create interface mock ups, designs and flows for all interactive game elements and screens: UI, HUD, Front End
  • Collaborate with designers, artists and programmers on design and implementation
  • Gather user feedback, run focus tests, and iterate through to completion
  • Own the user experience – own everything about how the user interacts with the game, from the screen layouts and game flow to the HUD animations and sound effects
  • Be able to juggle multiple user interface systems – touch screens, motion controllers, traditional controllers, etc
  • Establish best practice principles for interface layout and design that can be shared with other disciplines

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years experience in the game industry
  • A 4 year degree
  • At least 2 shipped console titles (PS3/X360) in a design role, preferably interface design OR equivalent experience in high quality web design
  • Design samples demonstrating ability to create clear UI mockups

  • Biggest advocate of the game and evangelizes this to the company
  • Is responsible for leading an entire game development effort from beginning to end
  • Oversees and coordinates daily development tasks, scheduling, and manages the activities of personnel and production staff.
  • Is a leader, and accomplishes all of the above while maintaining the chemistry and family feeling of working at Zindagi
  • Establishes and maintains direction to ensure deliverables are on-time, and that all milestones meet defined goals and quality bar.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years experience in the game industry
  • A 4 year degree
  • At least 2 shipped console titles (PS3/X360) in a producer role

  • Ability to schedule properly and precisely, high level and detailed, within a game development structure
